No one completely and accurately describes what the post-college process is like. Well, let me explain what it has looked like for me...
Within the past 6 months I graduated from college, was rejected from countless employers, gained weight from the stress of the job search, realized that a 22-year-old doesn't need to live with her mommy and daddy, and moved back to a town I swore I wouldn't live in till I had been on countless escapades around the world.
On New Years I declared that after a miserable 2009 (to be detailed in further posts), 2010 was my Year of Adventures! Little did I know that my adventure would actually entail moving to my hometown of Columbus, GA.
What I envisioned my post-college adventures to be has surely not been the case, but what makes an adventure? I would say an adventure consists of going into the unknown (sometimes blindly), conquering the unknown, and having my life and relationships enriched in the process.
Who would've thunk it? I am in the middle of my own adventure! I took a job that will challenge me to learn what is now unknown; I will be forced to befriend the unknown as I make new friends in my old hometown, and I plan on conquering it all!
But this adventure is not led by me, nor is it led blindly.
"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous!"
"For I know the plans I have for you.
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
Plans to give you a hope and a future."
I may not be exploring out West, touring the Big Apple, or galavanting about Europe, but I am exactly where The Lord, My God has placed me. I find my path a little unsure, a little unknown, but I have the creator of the universe as my "tour guide" if you will.

Let my adventure begin! Let the Lord be my guide!
Beautiful Heather! I cant wait to stay better up to date on you through this! I'm adding your blog link to my page. Love ya!
